i have a cisco cayatlyst but windows vista, unlike windows xp, does not have hyperterminal. i was told i need to download one. what is the best one?

i have Windows XP and want to go to a Vista Upgrade. So this will make my operating system now Vista. Do I still have to move all my files to an external hard drive, or risk them being deleted? Or does Vista have a way to preserve them?

I bought a PC from Work that was Networked. I am Trying to reinstall Windows Vista but I don’t have admin password. I am trying to boot my PC from the CD ROM, which I manage to do, but it doesn’ reinstall it, it simply boots up the old windows. Any ideas???

My mother has a laptop from Dell that is about 3 years old. It has Windows Vista and has Crashed severely and gave the blue screen of death and then won’t start up for a few hours afterwards. Any reasons why it would be doing this?

I recently purchased a new computer with Windows Vista Home Premium. On Windows XP Home Edition, I could install East Asian language files under the ‘Supplemental Language Support’ heading on the ‘Languages’ tab of the ‘Regional and Language Options’ properties box available through the Control Panel.
On Vista, the heading and the options under it is not available in the same location.
How do I install East Asian language files on my computer?

I have two computers(one ldesktop and one laptop). I use Windows vista with Comodo Firewall pro firewal on both. I find that it is hard to get something back into the trusted zone after you have it listed as untrusted. It seems to be complicated to configure. Is this the best free firewall to use or is there any better?

I have two machines that run Windows Vista on the network at home. About once every couple of weeks I have trouble connecting to the internet.
Both machines can see other machines on the network and I can ping the server machine. Apparently it’s having problems resolving the DNS.
Anyone else ever have this problem?
