Will installing Windows Vista onto my Macbook Pro significantly reduce its speed?

2

Im interested in installing Windows Vista onto my macbook pro using bootcamp (I don’t need to run windows and mac software simultaneously so bootcamp should be fine). Im curious, however, how this will affect the speed of my Mac OS (im running Mac OS 10.6.2 on a 2.26 GHz intel macbook pro).

Thanks in advance for any answers!

No because won’t Bootcamp only run one of the OS’s one at a time so it will utilize the hardware just as OS X would

Although I think Parallels and VMWare will run them simultaneously within Mac OS X.

It will NOT affect the speed of the Mac OS at all. Since you are only running only one OS at a time it works at it regular speed.

However, I would highly recommend that you use Windows 7 instead of Vista!
