People have been telling me i need a disk to restore it to the very day it was purchased; however, i do not have that disk. I also dont want to go to Best Buy and pay someone to do it for me. Is there anyway i can restore it to the day it was purchased without a disk and without harming my computer?

I tried downloading both Windows 7 and Vista on the system, but it lags a lot. With windows xp it runs like a dream.
