My desktop computer is HP Pavilion a6050y and I have the recovery discs that I make by myself in order to reinstall windows vista but now I wish to install windows xp but I don’t know now how to remove windows vista from portion C only in order to install windows xp without having the necessary Cd’s to install each of display card and wireless LAN card and motherboard card and sound card.

I just got a new computer running windows 7 and I want to transfer my music, etc to my new computer from my laptop that runs window vista. I’ve tried sharing it, but I have been having trouble with that too. I also don’t want to have to use a flash drive to transfer it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I want to restore my laptop because it is extra slow due to downloading limewire. I have Windows Vista. People have been telling me i need a disk to restore it to the very day it was purchased; however, i do not have that disk. I also dont want to go to Best Buy and pay someone to do it for me. Is there anyway i can restore it to the day it was purchased without a disk and without harming my computer?

So I have an old computer that definitely can not run Windows 7 or Vista. So I was wondering if there is any way (any good software that does not include spywares/trojans) that can make my Windows XP system looks like Windows vista or windows 7?
I tried downloading both Windows 7 and Vista on the system, but it lags a lot. With windows xp it runs like a dream.

I bought a PC from Work that was Networked. I am Trying to reinstall Windows Vista but I don’t have admin password. I am trying to boot my PC from the CD ROM, which I manage to do, but it doesn’ reinstall it, it simply boots up the old windows. Any ideas???

Okay, I would like to have linux and Windows Vista both running on one machine. I DON’T want to get rid of Windows Vista, so what do I do after I download linux. I would also like to do the same with XP too.
And please NO bad mouthing about windows or windows vista. I happen to like Microsoft and Windows Vista and I DON’T want to get rid of it.

I have Vista and my Windows folder is huge, it’s taking up too much space (20GB). I am guessing updates and stuff accumulated. Is this right? What files can I delete without harming the OS? Where can I find this info? Thank you very much.
