My mother has a laptop from Dell that is about 3 years old. It has Windows Vista and has Crashed severely and gave the blue screen of death and then won’t start up for a few hours afterwards. Any reasons why it would be doing this?

Hello. I hooked up a separate computer monitor to my laptop, a Windows Vista, for the first time yesterday. It worked like a charm — all I had to do was plug it in and fire it up. Now, it won’t work. The laptop is on, the monitor is on. What is wrong? Is there a preference menu I can access to manually command the alternate screen to show picture?
Thanks in advance! I cannot really make use of my laptop without this second screen.

I have windows vista and every so often I hear like a blowing sound from my laptop and was wondering what causes that sound? It seems to fade in and out every so often. Does it mean that some kind of quick scan is being done or something else??? Btw, I have Norton Internet Security. Thank you for anyone replying back.

My acer windows vista laptop likes to be glitchy, and for some reason it just wont let me download windows media player. It doesn’t say ‘error’ or anything, it just wont let me.
Does anyone have a direct link to where I can download windows media player? Or something like that?

I have two windows vista, one on my c: drive(which is the one I use) and one on d:(which is by accident I installed and now I want it removed)
The windows installed on my d: drive is not vista activated and is now expired.
How do I uninstall the windows vista on my d: drive?
