Hi I have just installed windows vista home basic on my xp pro desktop. I have a dell optiplex gx260. Now after I installed it, the resolution is stuck on 640 by 480, and it won’t let me change it. Any help?

I want to upgrade from vista to windows 7.But I wanted to download the upgrade instead of using the upgrade cd instead of having to pay shipping.I Have a 256kbps dsl connection.Im currently using windows vista home premium X64.If anyone used this method could you plz tell me how large was the file and what was your connection speed? At present my new computer has come with windows vista home premium but the programme is naff the system is too slow for what I want it for, my old computers programme is windows xp proffessional and runs much faster then vista home premium

I bought an 8GB USB flash memory stick from Microcenter in Georgia. However, my Lenovo laptop with Windows vista home would not recognize the drive when it is connected through USB port. Why is this and how do I enable the use of it on my laptop? Should I update the windows vista to use 8GB memory falsh drive? The memory stick itself didn’t come with any driver to install.

I recently purchased a new computer with Windows Vista Home Premium. On Windows XP Home Edition, I could install East Asian language files under the ‘Supplemental Language Support’ heading on the ‘Languages’ tab of the ‘Regional and Language Options’ properties box available through the Control Panel.
On Vista, the heading and the options under it is not available in the same location.
How do I install East Asian language files on my computer?

I have to Macbooks that I would like to make dual bootable with vista (with the end result being windows seven). I’ve done this several times, I don’t need the facts on dual booting or why vista sucks, I just need information on how many installs you get with windows home premium. If you only get one, does Ultimate allow multiple installs?
