Access

Hey,

I’m helping out a friend who had some people access her computer without authorization. Someone turned on her remote desktop when they were in her dorm room and they accessed her computer remotely without authorization. She has windows vista. I’m looking to see how I can get the logs of every computer with IP addresses that accessed her machine. Google is of no help. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

I used to have Windows XP, and my job had a link where I could click and access my work hard drive from my home computer. However, when I got the new laptop with the Vista system, and I downloaded the link from my employer, I couldn’t access the files. Is there a way of working around the features of Vista?

I have Microsoft Outlook installed and I only want me to be able to access it. So how can I make the User Account Control (UAC) come up to ask me for administrator permission when I want to open Microsoft Outlook 2003? I have Windows Vista Ultimate.

My neighbour has Windows Vista and has forgotten his password, as it is permanently logged on and never turned off (I did tell him this is not a good idea anyway).
He does not have a ‘reset disk’ as suggested as an option on the log on screen. Is there anything else we can try? He seems to think i’m some computer wizard but i’ve no idea what to do!
