How Do I Uninstall Sygate Firewall From Windows Vista?

3

I just bought a laptop with windows vista. I downloaded sygate firewall not knowing it wasnt compatible with vista. I tried uninstalling it, but every time i tried, it autimatically shut down my computer, something went wrong, and i had to do a system recovery. Is there anything way I can get sygate off of my computer? If I can’t, will it cause problems if I don’t use?

you need to uninstall the Software:
1. Click the Start Menu on your task bar.
2. Click Settings|Control Panel|Add/Remove Programs.
3. Click Sygate Personal Firewall 5.5.

Programs that refuse to uninstall are a pain in the butt, aren’t they? This program will do it for you: http://www.revouninstaller.com/ There is a step where it shows code from your system registry and says it’s going to delete the bolded pieces. Don’t check any other lines of code! That would be bad. Just let the program do it’s thang!
I would recommend you just use Windows’ Firewall or Zone Alarm’s free version. A real-time antivirus program like Avast is good to have too if you don’t have one already. Avast has a free version.
