How can I get my internet under the operating system of windows vista to run faster?
When I boot into ubuntu my internet is really fast so I know it’s not a problem with my comcast service. It seems that windows vista (07′) makes everything really slow. I also have to re-boot often from problems with internet explorer in vista. I have tons of stuff saved in Vista and way more programs installed there so I really need to be using it more often than Ubuntu.

well, i’m not a vista expert or anything here, but is just the internet that’s slow, or is the whole computer slow? you could have malware, or it could just be vista being dumb, and don’t know how to fix either because i’ve never used vista, and plan not to.
Your best bet is to Download FireFox… its extremly fast
and better than internet explorer.

As far as your internet explorer goes. Thiers a lot to do to make it faster… turning off windows defender, antivirus programs, windows security, lowering security measures on internet explorer< <, blah that all sucks
it could be anti virus software holding you down
try to disable firewall or something or this is what i did click start>type in the search bit >system restore>restore to an earlier point it doesn’t delete any files or anything , it worked for me
